Week 13: Ruffian Mani

I'm back with Week 13 of the 52 Week Challenge! This week is a Ruffian, which isn't too complicated, but I put a lot of work into picking color combinations. If you follow me on twitter, I posted a pic of a nail wheel with some combinations ... I went through about 12 color combinations and this was the winner!

I used OPI Pros & Bronze and Orly Stone Cold. I'm not that happy with it, I need a guide of some sort to get that edge smooth, freehanding was not my friend today. Bah!

  4. Does Ruffian mean the "upside down" french?
    I really love the colors although I am not sure I am so crazy about the texture.
    But then... I guess I'm a little square on this LOL

    1. Something like that ... I wasn't sold on the texture either. I wanted to go with diff textures - matte and glossy, matte and glitter, but these are a bit close for me.

  9. I love the color combination! Looks stunning :) I can't freehand this type of manicure, but I used reinforcement rings for this, just like the ones you would use for a half-moon mani ;)

    Mine was created with China Glaze Harvest Moon and Frostbite, so my blue is less foil than yours, and my bronze a littler darker, but we totally match. ^_^
